I have wished to have a dog ever since, well, forever.

Any chance I get to love a dog, I take.  I’ve always stopped dogs on the street for a pat or a cuddle. I’ve collected dog figurines, drawn countless dogs, was always given gifts to do with dogs. Life got infinitely better when I turned 7 years old and I moved to a school that had two dogs, Ritchie and Smudge, who always were available for loving.

I started drawing dogs early on.

I started drawing outfits and accessories for dogs at age 7.

I made clay dogs.

I collected dog miniatures.

I hugged dogs.

I dog-sat dogs.

And now, at 17 years, I’ve created Once Upon A Kind as a way to share my love of dogs, and dog fashion, with even more dogs.

Why fashion for Greyhounds?

I love dogs, but I also love how things look.

I’m finely attuned to the aesthetics of the world that surrounds me.

Greyhounds deserve all the kindness they can get, these special creatures are so full of spirit. Soft, warm, comfortable jackets can do that for them.

And kindness in the fashion world needs to make more of what already is available. To reimagine what can come from preloved fashion pieces, to reflect the individuality of those for whom the designs are intended - the sleek, elegant, noble Greyhound.

Greyhounds, the most deserving of dogs, and best of all, our best friends.
