Once Upon A Kind jackets are sophisticated, elegant and stylish, designed to match the natural, sleek nobility of the Greyhound.

Once Upon a Kind offer two ranges: Upcycled Bespoke & Winter Leisure.

Upcycled Bespoke is made from kindly donated high-end jackets.

Winter Leisure is made from donated and discounted fabrics.

The first season of Upcycled Bespoke ‘Peaky Greyhounds’ is inspired by the style and sophistication of the Peaky Blinders.

There are more seasons of Upcycled Bespoke in the pipeline.

Jackets from the Once Upon a Kind Upcycled Ranges do not claim to be in perfect condition however I am very particular in the selection of donated items to ensure they are of a very high standard.

However, because they come to us pre-loved I hope you understand that they will not be absolutely new or flawless.

My designs are made to elevate the Greyhounds and reflect their elegance, nobility, and unique characters. I also have done my best to ensure the jackets are warm, comfortable and safe.

All designs are tested for fit and function with the help of adopted greyhounds in Whanganui.

 

Eco friendly

Wherever possible, Once Upon A Kind leans towards using woollen and natural fibres as I wish all things to return to the earth the best way possible, leaving the smallest of footprints.

It’s important to me that when I choose to use fabrics like wool and other natural fibres, they don’t shed microplastics and they will not pollute the earth at the end of their life. Instead, like wool, return vital nutrients to the soil.

I know that the Greyhounds wholeheartedly approve of the comfort and warmth that wool provides them.

However, I am unable to guarantee what fibres I do use, as I can’t always control the materials of the jackets that are donated to us.
